Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Sean Coffin, Serra water polo
Serra water polo player Sean Coffin is the boys athlete of the week for Sept. 23-28.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Coffin finished with 34.13% of the votes. Menlo School cross country runner Landon Pretre placed second with 27.9%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Coffin, a senior water polo player at Serra, scored three goals and had an assist and two steals in Serra’s 17-3 win over Gunn. Coffin added three more goals and another assist in a 14-7 loss to Bellarmine.
