Bay Area News Group girls high school athlete of the week: Dania Innis, Miramonte water polo

Miramonte water polo player Dania Innis is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Oct. 11-17 after receiving 8,860 votes (50.14%) by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline.

Northgate golfer Ellexis Mingming (44.30%) finished second and Deer Valley volleyball player Arianna Zapanta was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Innis, a junior, scored three goals as Miramonte improved to 16-0 with a 9-7 victory over archrival Campolindo. Innis is being heavily recruiting and just completed a visit to Stanford.
