The U.S. men's basketball team silenced critics and avenged their only loss in the tournament with a win over France for a fourth straight gold. The U.S. sprint teams swept the 4x400-meter relays. In the process, Allyson Felix became the most decorated Olympic track athlete ever and the men's team kept a streak of consecutive Games with a gold alive. Team USA also got golds from Nelly Korda (women's golf) and women's water polo.
