The Canadian women are off to a great start at the 2019 Canada Cup. The red and white opened its round-robin tournament with an 11-10 win against the Netherlands. Trailing by three goals late in the second quarter, Canada slowly made their way back to capture the three points. The local favourites, Joelle Bekhazi and Krystina Alogbo, each tallied one before halftime to bring Canada within one goal (5-6) at the end of the second period.
