Volleyball BC 60th Anniversary Photo Contest

In celebration of Volleyball BC’s 60th Anniversary, we are inviting the public to submit their favourite volleyball-related pictures from the past six decades. 

Whether it’s a photo of your team hoisting a championship trophy, or something as simple as a day of volleyball at the beach, we want to celebrate the power of volleyball to bring people together and the impact the sport has made on lives across the province. 

Each month from February to September, we will select one photo to be featured on our social media channels as a “Photo of the Month”, with the winning submission being awarded a Volleyball BC Prize Pack. Winning photos will also be entered to win a grand prize, awarded at our Hall of Fame Gala in Fall 2025.  

The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers regardless of experience. Additionally, submitted photos can date from any year since our organization’s inception in 1965, so it’s a perfect opportunity to show off those old pictures that may be collecting dust in a drawer somewhere!

How to Enter: 

Entries for the Volleyball BC 60th Anniversary Photo Contest can be made at the following Google Forms Link:

Follow the steps below to complete your entry: 

1. Fill Out Your Information:
   • Complete all required fields in the form, including your name, email, and photo caption (max 100 words).
2. Upload Your Photo:
   • Click on the “Add File” button next to the photo upload section.
   • Select the photo you wish to submit from your computer or device.
   • Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, or TIFF.
   • Maximum file size: 10 MB.
3. Submit Your Entry:
   • After uploading your photo and filling out the form, click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
   • You’ll receive a confirmation email once your entry has been successfully submitted.

Prizing:

• Monthly winners will be awarded a Volleyball BC Prize Pack
• Each monthly winner will automatically be entered to win a grand prize, to be drawn at later date 

Further Details:

• Only one photo can be submitted per form, however, contestants can submit multiple forms if they choose. 
• Submissions can be made at any point between the contest’s opening on February 4th, 2025 and closing on September 1st, 2025

• Monthly winners will be selected on the first day of each month while the contest is open and will be notified through the email provided on the completed form.
• Once your photo is chosen as a winner, you will no longer be eligible to win in future months.
• By entering, you grant Volleyball BC the right to use your photo in marketing materials, on social media, and for event promotion.
• Photos must be original and not previously submitted to other contests, used commercially or infringe on any intellectual property/copyright of any other party.
