KU volleyball picked atop Big 12, K-State No. 7 in preseason coaches' poll

LAWRENCE (KSNT) - Kansas volleyball will have a target on its back in the 2024 season.

The Jayhawks were picked to finish first of 15 teams in the Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference released Wednesday. KU received the most amount of first-place votes with six.

K-State volleyball was tabbed seventh in the same poll, with one first-place vote, with fourth-through-seventh places coming in a close race.

Fresh off an NCAA Tournament-hosting season, Kansas volleyball kicks off the 2024 campaign with an exhibition against Drake on August 24. First game that counts is against South Carolina at the 'Duke Tournament' on August 30.

In year two under head coach Jason Mansfield, K-State volleyball starts with an exhibition at Wichita State on August 2024. Regular season play starts August 30 at Purdue.
