[Men's Volleyball] No.12 SXU Claims CCAC Title on 'Leukemia Awareness Night'

CHICAGO – The No. 12 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball team (24-9/13-0 CCAC) won its second consecutive Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) regular season championship by defeating Lincoln College (Ill.) three sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-21). The Cougars finished their conference slate with a 13-0 record and have won 26 straight conference matches since the 2020 season. SXU earns the No. 1 seed in the CCAC Tournament, earns a first-round bye and will host the semifinals and the tournament championship on April 1 and 2.

Saint Xavier also hosted 'Leukemia Awareness Night' and prior to the match, junior setter Cameron Petrusevski (Orland Park, Ill./UCLA/Sandburg) was recognized for winning his battle with Leukemia just over a year ago. His teammates wore orange during pregame and on the bench during the match in support. Petrusevski ended up having a career night by establishing new career-bests in assists (33) and kills (five) and tied his career-high in blocks with two.
