[Volleyball] Volleyball Falls in Sioux City

Doane Volleyball traveled to Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday for their third match in five days and fell at the hands of Morningside in three sets. Match scores were 25-21, 25-12, and 25-17.

Genna Ryan-Piasecki (JR/Castle Rock, Colo.) led the team with eight kills on 21 attacks. Gabby Menghini (JR/North Platte, Neb.) finished with six while Ryed Creek (SR/Viola, Kan.) and Kirsten Bures (SO/Odell, Neb.) added five apiece. Jaime Renshaw (SO/Sioux Falls, S.D.) dished out 26 assists. Katie Ellard (SR/Ogallala, Neb.) had a team-high 13 digs. Ryan-Piasecki led the net defense with five total blocks, including three solo.

Morningside received 11 kills from Kaelyn Giefer and nine from Krista Zenk. Sabrina Creason posted 32 assists. Kayla Harris notched a game-high 14 digs.

Doane will be at home on Tuesday, November 3, to take on Midland at 7:30 PM. The junior varsity will precede the varsity match at 6 PM.
