Boys' promise fades
With a quarter of each squad hailing from the capital there was much interest in London in its under 16 year old stars of the future representing their country in Italy. They had been entered in a tournament largely featuring teams from top clubs in Italy and around the world but with a sprinkling of national teams from smaller volleyball nations. The group stages: three groups of four teams, were completed today (27th December) with all of the girls' opposition coming from the host country clubs but with a quality Polish team as well as two formidable Italian sides for the boys to challenge.
