[Men's Volleyball] Knights Volleyball Dominate at Brewton Parker

MOUNT VERNON, GA - The St. Andrews University Men's Volleyball team traveled to Brewton Parker Thursday for a Mid-South match, sweeping the Barons in three sets.

St. Andrews drifted by the Barons in three sets 25-14, 25-19, and 25-19 sweeping the season series from Brewton Parker.

The Knights limited the Barons to just 14 points in first set and forcing them to hit a .036 hitting percentage compared to SAU's strong .379. The second set was the closest of the match, with the set being tied 11 times between the two MSC teams. The Knights would create an 11-point lead midway through the set to win 25-19 before ending the third set with the same score.

Mid-South Setter of the Week, Jackson Stark (JR/St. Louis, MO) led with 31 assists in the match while assisting in 3 blocks and collecting 2 service aces.

Senior Edgar Huerta (SR/Salinas, CA) recorded double-digits in kills, collecting 12, the only Knight to hit double-digits in the match. Huerta hit an impressive .579 percent while also tallying 2 service aces and 5 digs.

Also putting up strong numbers in kills were Jacob DeSouza (JR/Quail Valley, CA) with his 8 kills and Ben Twigger (GS/Concord, NC)'s 7. Junior Nate Blackwell (JR/ Manifee, CA) also recorded 7 kills while collecting two digs in the match.

Senior Carlos Rodriguez (SR/West Hazelton, PA) reached double-digit figures with his 11 digs along with a service ace. 

The Knights will return home for a final time as they host Life University on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day, beginning at 1 pm.
