[Volleyball] Volleyball Sweeps Spring Arbor, Advances to League Semifinals

MARION, Ind. – No. 3 seed Indiana Wesleyan University has advanced to the Crossroads League Tournament semifinals following a 3-0 win over No. 6 seed Spring Arbor (Mich.) in quarterfinal action on Saturday night. The Wildcats controlled play throughout the night as the Cougars scored no more than 21 points in any set.


COUGAR KILLERS

Kelly Miller and Ana Collar produced in all three matches this season vs. Spring Arbor. Miller averaged 3.90 kills per set and a .321 attack percentage in the three matches while Collar had 3.70 kills per set and a .282 attack percentage.


FINISHING STRONG

The Wildcats obtained strong stats in the first two sets with a .244 attack percentage in the first set and then a .325 in the second set. But IWU closed out the Cougars with a .387 attack percentage in the final set with 16 kills and 4 errors in 31 attempts.


SEASON SWEEP

Indiana Wesleyan won the season series with Spring Arbor 3-0. IWU defeated SAU 3-1 in the league opener and then 3-0 on October 5.
