KNIGHTS WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FINDS NO ACCESS TO VICTORY IN GEORGIA

WEST POINT, GA – The St. Andrews University women's volleyball team played its third game in as many days as it traveled to West Point, Georgia to face the Skyhawks of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opponent Point University.  Just as Hurricane Michael was cutting off access to power and roads upon its landfall, the Skyhawks were determined to cut off access to victory for the Knights.  That is just what the Skyhawks did by defeating the Knights 3-0 with individual game scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-7.

When it came to noteworthy stats, the Knights had a power outage while in Georgia during Hurricane Michael.  There was still a little light shining in the box score as Shalia Powell (JR/Dayton, NV) had 16 assists and Karina Lozada (SO/Bayamon, Puerto Rico) had 12 defensive digs.

Friday, the Knights (6-9/3-4) will be in Waleska, Georgia for an 11:00 a.m. AAC game against Reinhardt University (20-4/11-0).  The team's next home game will be Friday, October 19th at 6:30 p.m. against AAC opponent Tennessee Wesleyan University from Athens, Tennessee.
