[Volleyball] Tigers start pool play Tuesday
COMMIT. Simple. Bold. Straight forward. That is the Georgetown College's volleyball team's mission starting 4 pm ET Tuesday in the 2017 NAIA Volleyball National Championship in Sioux City, Iowa.
The No. 17 Tigers (21-4) boarded a plane and headed out for a program best sixth straight trip to the final site. This is the third set of seniors that have advanced to the nationals every year of their four-year career.
Georgetown starts with a daunting task in pool-play. The four-team, round-robin schedule has GC pitted against No. 2 Viterbo (35-1), No. 15 Eastern Oregon (22-9) and Our Lady of the Lake (24-8). OLLU defeated Oklahoma City University in the opening round matches to advance to the final site and pool-play.
