[Volleyball] Volleyball: Point Earns First-Ever AAC Tournament Berth
WEST POINT, Ga. Point University, coached by Amanda Jones (Third season) has earned its first-ever Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament berth and enters the single-elimination event as the number five seed with records of 18-8 overall and 13-5 in AAC matches. The tournament will be played at the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Point takes on number four seeded St. Andrews University (N.C.), with records of 20-9 overall and 13-5 in conference, Thursday, Nov. 9, at 6:45 p.m. Point defeated St. Andrews twice in the regular season, 3-2 at home and 3-0 at St. Andrews. The winner between the Skyhawks and the Knights takes the winner of the match between number one-seeded Reinhardt University (27-5, 17-1 AAC) and number-eight seeded Brenau University (9-21; 8-10 AAC) on Friday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m.
