[Volleyball] Volleyball Preview - Baker Inv.

After a strong showing in their opening weekend of games Friends University Volleyball will travel to Baldwin, KS September 6 & 7 for the Baker University tournament.

Teams competing in the invitational along with Friends University and host Baker are Graceland University, Benedictine College, Sterling College and John Brown University.

On Friday, September 6 the Falcons will play KCAC foe Sterling College at 5:00 p.m. Following this match Friends University will play Baker University at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 7 the Falcons will play a 9:00 a.m. game versus John Brown University and a 3:00 p.m. game versus Graceland University.

Sterling College enters the tournament with an 8-1 record. The Warriors competed at the Oklahoma Wesleyan Tournament one week ago, finishing 3-1 in the event.

Baker University will enter the tournament after finishing 3-1 at the Bellevue Tournament in Nebraska. The Wildcats are 5-3 overall on the season.

John Brown University enters the tournament with a 3-4 overall record. The Golden Eagles also competed at the Bellevue Tournament and finished 1-3 in match play.

Graceland University will enter the tournament with a 7-1 record. The Yellowjackets competed over Labor Day weekend at the Grinnell College Labor Day Classic and finished 4-0 during the series.

Given the strength of teams in the tournament the Falcons will need to be ready in each match in hopes of improving upon their 1-0 season record.
