[Volleyball] Lions Come Up Short In First Road Match
Williamsburg, Ky. – On Tuesday evening, the Bryan College Lions Volleyball Team met up with University of the Cumberlands, a member of the Mid-South Conference. The Lions entered the match coming off their season opening series at home as they hosted four other schools from the Southeast for the 3rd Annual Bryan Bash, running Aug. 25-26. With a 1-3 start to the season, Bryan got their first glimpse of road play with the Patriots. On the other hand, Cumberlands had a slow beginning of their regular-season as they fell to the 15th and 21st ranked teams in the nation, but rebounded with three straight sweeps, including a victory over fellow Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan University. Cumberlands was able to carry their momentum into their first home game of the year with a 3-0 win over Bryan, improving their record to 4-2 and dropping the Lions to 1-4.
