TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran U-17 volleyball team lost to Italy 3-2 Monday night in its first match in Bulgaria's four-team tournament.

The Iranian team, headed by Arash Sadeghiani, will meet host Bulgaria and Brazil Tuesday and Wednesday.
Iran has participated in the tournament as part of preparation for the 2024 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U-17 World Championship.
