[Volleyball] UCM Earns Second Bid to NAIA Championship

UC Merced, seeded #4 in the California Pacific Conference Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament, beat #2 Saint Katherine 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-15), giving the Bobcats the conference's second automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship.  UCM, 7-6 on the season, will join Cal Pac regular season champ Benedictine-Mesa in the national tournament, which will begin on April 17 with Opening Round matches at sites to be determined.  From there, regional winners advance to Pool Play at the Tyson Events Center, Sioux City, Iowa, from April 27- May 1.
