[Men's Volleyball] No. 9 Cougars hold off Tigers
Georgetown College men's volleyball took on its first NAIA opponent Friday evening when the team traveled to play No. 9 Saint Xavier University in Illinois. The Tigers (0-3) did well in the odd sets, even rallying to erase one match point and force a set four. However, the Cougars (4-0) built a lead to large and took the match 25-20, 25-14, 24-26, 25-15.
Ryan Gunn led the offense with 16 kills. Kacper Dobrowolski had 32 assists and five blocks, while Cooper Jacobelli finished with a team-high nine digs.
Tigers are back in action 3 pm Saturday at Indiana Tech.
