[Volleyball] Threshers Take the Loss, But Neira Makes History

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel volleyball team played at home for the final time this season earlier tonight, when they hosted the Ottawa Braves (receiving votes in the national poll). The game was somewhat ugly, as Bethel was swept 25-14, 25-4, 25-13, but the beauty of the night was four years in the making. 2014 KCAC Freshman of the Year and spiking stud Katie Neira (SR/San Antonio, Texas) became the 11th Thresher in program history to hit 1,000 career kills, and was able to do so on home-court.
