[Men's Tennis] Men's Tennis Finishes as National Runner-Up

The TJC men's tennis team was hoping to match the Apache Ladies' accomplishment of a national championship, but the Apaches came up one point short on Friday in Plano.

The two teams were tied at 43-43 and the title came down to the final match in Flight 2 Doubles. The ASA Miami team of Tim Chen and Kentaro Mizushima, the No. 2 seeds, edged the Apaches' No. 1 seeded squad of Alejandro Hayen and Jorge Martinez 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to claim the title.ASA Miami defended its NJCAA Division I Tennis Tournament title by edging Tyler Junior College, 44-43, at Collin College.
