[Women's Tennis] Women's Tennis Upset by William Woods 5-3
MOBILE, Ala. – For their first ever match in a national tournament, the SDC women's tennis team would have wanted things to end up a little different than they did.
William Woods upset the Hawks 5-3 in the second round of the NAIA National Tournament on Wednesday, ending SDC's season short.
With the loss, the Hawks complete the season with a 15-4 record.
Brittany Augustine won both of her matches, at No. 1 Doubles 8-1 and No. 1 Singles 6-2, 6-0. The Hawks trailed after the completion of doubles 2-1. SDC grabbed another point from Nadine Geschke at No. 4 Singles but it wasn't enough to advance.
