[Women's Tennis] No. 6 Women's Tennis Defeats Concordia 5-4

IRVINE, Calif. -- The SDC women's tennis team won again – this time against an ranked NCAA Div. II program in Concordia Irvine.

The Hawks defeated the Eagles 5-4 in the last non-conference match for the Hawks before the GSAC Tournament next week.

With the win, SDC improves to 13-3 on the year.

SDC grabbed four of the six singles matches. Brittany Augustine won her No. 1 Singles match 2-6, 7-6, 6-3. Brooke Ferslov-Jensen swept her counterpart in the No. 2 Singles, winning 6-0, 6-0. SDC grabbed wins at  the No. 4 and No. 6 Singles.

The Hawks only won one doubles match but it was all they needed. Augustine and doubles partner Nadine Geschke defeated CUI's No .1 Doubles 4-1 before they retired and gave the set to the Hawks,

SDC went undefeated in conference play and will be the No. 1 seed in the GSAC Tournament starting on Monday.
