Names & Faces: Victoria Azarenka, Perry Baker

The world’s former No. 1 tennis player plans to return to the WTA Tour for the Bank of the West Classic at Stanford this summer.

Azarenka, from Belarus, won the Australian Open in 2012 and ’13 and lost the U.S. Open final to Serena Williams in three sets both years.

Azarenka said Sunday in a release from the tournament that she is “looking forward to beginning this new stage of my career.”

The younger brother of 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl winner Dallas Baker, a wide receiver, and the nephew of former NFL wide receiver and coach Wes Chandler (Saints, Chargers, 49ers), he scored nine tries in dominating the biggest tournament in Sevens Rugby, wowing the crowds with his speed and showmanship.
