Novak, Jelena Djokovic's Daughter Reveals Her Favorite Tennis Player. It's Not Her Father
Even the greatest in the world in their respective sport can be humbled by their children.
That was the case this week when Novak Djokovic revealed he's not his daughter Tara's favorite tennis player. The honor belongs to the No. 1 seed on the women's side of the Wimbledon bracket, Aryna Sabalenka, who punched her ticket to the semifinals on July 8.
“Sabalenka is her favorite. She only cares about Sabalenka,” Djokovic revealed, via Clay. “She keeps asking if she can go to her house again because she has a fridge full of acaí. We went the other day and she made some açaí for us. Since then, it’s all Tara can think about. She’s not too interested in tennis itself – it’s all about whether she can get some more of that acaí.”
Djokovic, who shares Tara and son, Stefan, with longtime wife Jelana, showed love for his children after a recent win.
“It fills my heart with joy when I see them in the stands cheering. A lot of people have noticed and commented on how loud Stefan is – he really has a grown man’s voice, and I can hear him no matter where I am on the court. The support I get from him and Tara means the world to me,” he said.
While he supports his children in all they do, both his kids and wife make sure to show their love for him as well. "The one where Jelena celebrates her birthday, and Tara makes her a cake ????❤️," Djokovic's wife said in a recent post.
