Over the past few years Carlos Alcaraz has made it abundantly clear he's looking for a relationship, but that can be difficult given the nature of his job.

“No, I am single. I am looking for someone. It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are traveling all the time," he said in an interview. The Spanish star remains focused on his craft, winning his fifth grand slam title earlier this year at the French Open.

Alcaraz, who is the two-time defending champion at Wimbledon is off to an incredible start in the tournament once again as he enters the Round of 16 on Sunday, July 6. While he's dominating off the court, rumors linking him to women's tennis star Emma Raducanu were shot down the by player herself this week.

"I've known him for years. Wimbledon 2021 was the first time I started getting to know him, and I had a good run there and then also again in the U.S. Open in 2021," she revealed when asked about dating rumors of the couple.

"We have a good relationship still. He’s obviously overtaken me a lot, but it's nice that we have that from a while ago," she added. "I think for all of us, we really kind of value those connections that we had from when we were young because when you become a bit more known or a bit more successful, you just find yourself reverting back to people you knew from a young age because you're like, that's a real genuine connection.

"Because it becomes very busy and you have a lot more friends but the ones that you've known for a long time mean a lot more to you."

Raducanu lost in straight sets to No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka in the third round. "Many feelings to compute but that was a mega night to have been part of.⚡️Thank you for the thrilling energy and atmosphere????♥️good luck for the rest of the way @arynasabalenka," she said in a message on Instagram after the loss.

Alcaraz, meanwhile, will face off against Andrey Rublev at 11:30 a.m. ET on ESPN on July 6.
