Italian Tennis Star Matteo Berrettini Goes Shirtless in Portofino Following Wimbledon Loss

Matteo Berrettini is enjoying some R&R in his native Italy.

The 29-year-old tennis pro soaked up the sun with some friends at Bagni Sirena in the beach town of Santa Margherita Ligure near Portofino on Thursday afternoon (July 3).

Matteo showed off his ripped physique as he went shirtless while lounging out by the water. Later in the day, Matteo put on a white shirt and wore headphones as he walked around the area.

Keep reading to find out more…Just a few days earlier, Matteo was sadly eliminated from the 2025 Wimbledon competition after losing in the first round to Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak.

In a press conference after his loss, Matteo admitted that he’s been struggling a lot recently in his career.

“I have to see exactly what happened in the match before saying anything incorrect or what I am thinking right now,” Matteo said, via Punto De Break. “Tennis has been very tough for me these past few months. I am very sorry for the people who helped me get to this tournament. They did everything possible.”

He continued, “Honestly, this is not the way I want to be on the court, I don’t enjoy being there. I need to take some time and think about my future. It is clear to me that this is not how I like to spend my time on the court.”
