U.S. Tennis Star Ben Shelton Turns Heads with Impressive Football Skills
One of the many popular debates across the sports landscape is whether professional players could crossover and have any level of success in another sport. For example, fans would love to see an athlete like LeBron James suit up for even one game at the NFL level.
Another name that may have entered the conversation is U.S. tennis star Ben Shelton, who grabbed plenty of attention after a video of him tossing the football went viral.
Shelton, the No. 12 player in the ATP rankings, has obviously spent some time tossing the pigskin around. A video posted by Bleacher Report proved that much, as Shelton made big throw after big throw, and did so with ease.

Shelton's love of football goes back to his childhood, as the tennis star admitted he was "obsessed" with it, which he told The Guardian.
“I thought tennis was a boring sport. Football and basketball and baseball were the cooler sports to play in America. So those were the ones that I was obsessed with when I was little. But here we are,” Shelton says with a laugh.
While the transition from tennis (or any sport, for that matter) to football would be a daunting one, it's hard not to be impressed with the 22-year-old's arm strength.
Shelton has won two ATP titles, and his current No. 12 world ranking is the highest of his career. Throughout his young career, Shelton has earned north of $6.275 million.
