‘You’re more popular than Oasis’ – tickets for Andy Murray’s arena tour being re-sold for eye-watering prices

ANDY MURRAY has been dubbed ‘more popular than Oasis’ after ANOTHER ticket row erupted over next summer’s big show.

The Gallagher brothers’ reunion tour sold out within hours when tickets went on sale earlier this year.

Seats in some venues are selling for more than SEVEN times their face value

Some went for heavily inflated ‘dynamic’ prices.

But now Scottish tennis hero Murray has eclipsed the Mancunian rockers as his tell-all stage show seats went within MINUTES.

And the similarities don’t end there.

Fans are now raging as re-sale ticket sites and scalpers are charging inflated prices too – some up to SEVEN TIMES more than face value.

In true tennis style, they’ve called ‘fault’ over the first release and want a ‘second service’.

The Wimbledon champ’s ‘Centre Stage’ tour, alongside tennis commentator Andrew Cotter, runs for four nights in June, beginning at Glasgow‘s SEC.

Edinburgh is next on the schedule on June 19 and Muzza later visits the London Apollo.

He will also make an emotional return to Wimbledon – appearing at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

But there’s no way of getting in after the rush other than second-hand sales sites – and some are pushing eye-watering charges.

At Wimbledon NO single seats are available, with a pair of £100 seats offered at £712 each less than 24 hours after going on sale.

In Glasgow a single seat in the gallery of the Armadillo sold for £33.50 on Thurday and was then re-shared with a £214.50 mark up.

At the Apollo a single seat worth €222 and based in GERMANY is selling for £1116.

Tickets went on sale at 10am on Thursday but were sold out within minutes leaving more than 31,000 people waiting for access to the Glasgow show sale disappointed on one website.

However promoters ATG tickets urged fans not to purchase tickets from secondary websites and, contrary to the prices being charged, claimed scalpers CAN’T make money on them.

I made the time to get time off work for fewer than 100 available? Disappointing

Frustrated Andy Murray fan

They said: “Andy Murray — Centre Stage is now sold out! Demand for tickets has been extremely high. Tickets cannot be sold for profit. Please do not purchase tickets from a secondary website.”

One fan said: “Tried pre-sale then two waiting lists. Ticketmaster gone by two mins past ten. Andy you’re more popular than Oasis! Hope other dates will be added.”

Another added: “Tickets were unavailable this morning at 10.01am. I hope Andy realises how popular he is and considers more venues.”

A third said: “Frustrated to say the least, releasing so few tickets to general sale is a massive waste of people’s time.

“I made the point of getting time off work to make sure I got tickets, and there were fewer than 100 available?! Hugely disappointing.”

Phones will be banned at each ‘intimate and exclusive’ show.

During each, Murray will recount “intimate and untold” moments from his career with broadcast pal Cotter.
