Then the British No1 vomited on the court and cleaned it up himself soon after.

The Sutton-born star appeared to have been sick after the first point but it was at deuce where he couldn’t control his vomit.

Tennis fans rallied on social media to back the World No25 who insisted on pushing forward despite the hot and humid conditions at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

One fan tweeted: “The US humidity really gets you man.”

Another commented: “Everything and anything crossed for Jack Draper.

“The man physically vomits and chooses to carry on. What a trooper.”

A third said: “Jack Draper casually vomiting, mopping it up and saying, ‘Right then let’s crack on’.

“That’s proper Britishness if there ever was any.”

And that one stated: “Poor Draper.”

Sinner also dealt with struggles of his own during that same set at the US Open.

The Italian injured his wrist when he fell over and the doctor came out for him as well.

Draper vomited a total of FOUR times during the match, ultimately losing to Sinner in straight sets, 7-5, 7-6, 6-2.
