[Women's Tennis] Patriots Fall To #5 Cavaliers In Round of 16

Mobile, AL - After deafeating Mobile yesterday afternoon to advance to the second round of the NAIA National Championship for the third time in the past four years, the Patriots were stifled by Montreat. UC ended up meeting their match in the Cavaliers, losing 4-0.

Doubles play belonged to Montreat with them taking the first two contests to grab their first point of the match. Fan Shiau and Satsuki Mitani were first to see their bout come to an end with the duo playing as UC's #2. They found themselves suffering just their second loss of the season as a tandem by a count of 6-1 to put the Cavaliers ahead. Montreat then secured the first point with a win at the top spot with Stephanie Petit and Carolina Reis defeating Tomomi Nagao and Johanna Beckmann 6-0.
