Mobile, AL - The Patriots squared off against the University of Xavier (La.) Wednesday morning, looking for some revenge after falling to their opponent earlier in the season. Unfortunately, Cumberlands was unable to come away with the win as their season came to an end with Xavier moving on by a final tally of 4-2.
Doubles play belonged to the Gold Rush with them taking the first two sets to grab the first point. Martin Barbier and Eric Banoub's match at the #2 spot was the first to finish with them seeing defeat for just the sixth time this season, coming at the hands of Megh Patel and Jacobi Bain by a score of 6-3. Martin Muller and Hung-Ju Wu played as the Patriot's #1 tandem for just the third time this year with them unable to grab a win either. The Patriot duo was tasked with Xavier's Santiago Perez and Juan Ramierz who proved to be too tall a task as they were able to take the 6-2 win and jump out in front heading into singles play.
