[Tennis] Prats Nicolas, Krivek earn All-KCAC Tennis honors
WICHITA, Kan. – For the second straight season, Hugo Prats Nicolas (SR/Almussafa Velencia, Spain) and Nikolett Krivek (SR/Szged, Hungary) have received All-KCAC tennis recognition. Prats Nicolas is a men's tennis all-conference second-team pick, while Krivek is an honorable mention honoree.
In both Falcon conference wins this season, Prats Nicolas won from both the No. 1 singles and doubles position.
"Hugo has shown he is a Champion of Character on and off the court," said Friends men's tennis head coach Alex Lee.
"He battled with the best in the conference while dealing with back problems. He showed he has heart and I have enjoyed coaching him these three seasons of his collegiate career and I wish him the best."
Under new head coach Estefania Castrillon, Krivek helped the Falcons earn the sixth seed in the KCAC Tournament, including winning in the No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles spots to fuel victories over Sterling College and Bethany College earlier this season.
"Niki's performance this semester was to admire, she faced tough opponents but always gave her best on the court," said Castrillon. "It was a pleasure to coach her. I can't wait to watch her growth as a player in the upcoming years."
