Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime is out of the Barcelona Open after suffering a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 quarterfinal loss to Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman on Friday.
The No. 3 seed, from Montreal, is now 1-2 lifetime against the sixth-seeded Schwartzman.
Earlier Friday, Auger-Aliassime beat No. 13 seed Frances Tiafoe of the United States 7-5, 6-4 in the round-of-16.
Auger-Aliassime won his first career ATP Tour title earlier this year at Rotterdam, but had lost five of his past six matches heading into Barcelona.
