[Men's Tennis] Tennis Falls to PSU Brandywine

Senior Harrison Sorman (FR/Havertown, PA) won in straight sets at #6 singles, but that was to only win Williamson could garner as the Mechanics dropped an 8-1 decision to host Penn State Brandywine.

Sorman hung on to win his opening set, 6-4.  He then pulled away in the second set, winning 6-1 in a match that was closer than the score would indicate.

The top five players in the line-up all lost in straight sets to their more experienced opponents, but Williamson head coach Jason Kutzura was pleased by what he saw, as far as effort and improvement are concerned.

"We have had some pretty lousy weather lately so our practice times have been effected but the guys are working hard and I think they are starting to see what they need to work on and that if they put the time in, they definitely will improve," shared Kutzura.

The Mechanics will get the chance to show just how much they have improved as they get right back into action against the same PSU Brandywine squad on Monday afternoon in a 3:30 P.M. start at Brandywine.
