Billionaire Bill Gates yawns at tennis along with actress Elisabeth Shue as Microsoft founder watches Indian Wells

MICROSOFT founder Bill Gates was at the Indian Wells this week, but he didn’t seem particularly entertained by the event.

Gates, 66, was joined by actress Elisabeth Shue at the tennis as the pair observed both women’s semi-finals.

Maria Sakkari defeated Paula Badosa in a thrilling three-setter.

Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek came out on top in her match against Simona Halep.

Sakkari and Swiatek will compete in the final for the Indian Wells title, and the winner become world no.2 in the WTA Rankings.

Despite all the action that was unfolding on Court One, Gates was seen yawning amongst the crowd.

Everybody appeared to see the funny side, including Shue, who was pictured laughing next to the billionaire.

This year’s Indian Wells has provided some shock results in both the men’s and women’s competitions.

US Open champion Emma Raducanu lost to Petra Martic in three sets to crash out at the round-of-32 stage.

The Murray brothers were also unsuccessful as they were also knocked out on the same day.

Jamie and his double’s partner Bruno Soares were beat by Rohan Bopanna and Denis Shapovalov in the round-of-32.

Andy could not advance past the round-of-64 after facing defeat to Alexander Bublik.

Both singles finals are due to take place on Sunday.
