Razorbacks Up for the Test at Georgia

Arkansas Men’s Tennis (10-7, 1-3) is slated to face the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs (11-4, 3-1) in Athens on Friday. Arkansas last defeated the Bulldogs in 2018 when Georgia was ranked No. 14.

The Dawgs are coming off a weekend when they were swept by now-No. 1 Florida on Friday but bounced back to take down No. 7 South Carolina on Sunday. 

Arkansas had one of its most impressive weekends of the season a week ago when the Razorbacks topped No. 25 Auburn at home and then pushed No. 12 Kentucky to a deciding match, ultimately falling, 4-3. The Razorbacks will look to ride the momentum when they face a tough Georgia team on the road.

Georgia boasts three singles players in the top 40 and four in the top 100 while also featuring four ranked doubles pairings. Arkansas will be led by No. 47 Aleksa Bucan, who has won his last two matches, and No. 95 Alex Reco who continues to be a hard match for any player in the country.

The Hogs and Dawgs will face off at 1:30 p.m. CT. The two SEC squads are planning on playing outdoors, but with rain in the forecast, could move the match inside.
