And tennis star Raducanu is expected to win the gong and is priced at 1/20 with Befair.

Tom Daley is her nearest contender at 12/1 ahead of Tyson Fury at 20/1.

Raducanu shot to global stardom after she defied odds of 499/1 to win the US Open.

The 19-year-old became the first qualifier to win a grand slam and she won the grand slam without dropping a single set in New York.

She would not become the youngest person to win the award, after Ian Black was aged 17 when he won the award in 1958.

Raducanu expects to miss the award ceremony on December 19th as she will be in the Middle East.
