Men’s Tennis Competing in Final ITA Event of the Fall

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Arkansas men’s tennis squad is back on the court this week at the ITA Regional Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska. The University of Nebraska is playing host for Arkansas’s final ITA tournament of the fall season. 

The Hogs will bring 11 of their 12 players to Lincoln, with senior Alex Reco heading to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete in a pro-level ITF event. 

The doubles bracket will feature 10 of the 11 Razorbacks while all 11 Arkansas players are in the singles main draw. Two Arkansas doubles teams are seeded for this weekend’s tournament: Aleksa Bucan and Avery Zavala are seeded No. 7 in the draw and Melvin Manuel and Adrien Burdet are the third-seeded team.

Three Razorbacks are seeded in the singles draw: Manuel is seeded at No. 13, Nico Rousset at No. 11, and freshman Oscar Pinto Sansano is the No. 3 seed in Lincoln.

Matches will begin Thursday morning with the tournament running through Sunday afternoon.
