EMMA RADUCANU’S emotional UK homecoming will be shown live on BBC to celebrate her historic US Open triumph.

Tennis fans can tune in on Friday from 12.30pm on the BBC iPlayer.

And TV purists will also be able to watch Raducanu’s glorious return in full from 3.15pm on BBC Two.

The 18-year-old star stunned the sporting world and captured hearts across the globe by winning the Grand Slam as a qualifier without dropping a set.

And in doing so she became Britain’s first women’s singles major champ in 44 years.

Raducanu banked a whopping £1.8million jackpot as a reward for her US Open triumph.

And she will return to the court at next month’s Kremlin Cup in Moscow, having pulled out of the Chicago Fall Tennis Classic.

The future is indeed looking bright for Raducanu.

And the teen admits it’s her strong mentality that helped her across the line in America.

Raducanu said: “I would say it’s just inner belief and just taking care of each day as best as possible because 10 matches ago when I was playing my first round qualifying I didn’t think I would be in the US Open final or winning it.

“So if you just do the best you can every single day time flies and you can really achieve anything with inner belief.

“From a young age I have always been brought up to have mental strength. My parents played a huge part in my upbringing.

“They were pretty tough on me when I was young but they have kind of shaped the way and I think now it’s helping on the biggest stages in the world, on Arthur Ashe Stadium when you really need it.

“It was full capacity so it was very, very cool.”
