[Men's Tennis] Men's Tennis Set For GPAC Tourney After Shutout Win

Doane Men's Tennis closed out the regular season on Tuesday afternoon with a shutout victory over Mount Marty and clinched the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GPAC Tournament. The win moved Doane to 10-9 on the season and 4-2 in the GPAC.

Doane took the doubles point by winning at 1-doubles and 2-doubles. The Tigers received a forfeit win at 3-doubles to take the sweep early in the match. As the match turned to singles play, Jorge Chevez (JR/Panama City, Panama) and Federico Infante (FR/Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) were the only players to drop a game but still won easily in straight sets.

Next up on the Tigers' radar is a trip to Fremont to begin the GPAC Tournament on April 30. Doane will face Northwestern in the opening match at 9 AM.
