[Men's Tennis] Men's Tennis Clinches 3-Seed with Victory

Doane Men's Tennis picked up a 6-1 win over Morningside on Monday and secured the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GPAC Tournament. The Tigers improved to 3-2 in the GPAC and 9-9 overall.

The Tigers cruised at 1-doubles and 3-doubles, posting 6-2 victories. The 2-doubles match featuring Doane's Federico Infante (FR/Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Henrique Sakoda (JR/Sao Paulo, Brazil) went to a tie-break with Doane winning 7-6 (7-4) to sweep doubles play. In singles play, the two most competitive matches came at 1-singles and 2-singles. Jorge Chevez (JR/Panama City, Panama) won at 1-singles, 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 1-0 (11-9) while Infante was nipped at 2-singles, 7-5, 2-6, 0-1 (8-10).
