[Women's Tennis] SAU gets 4-0 win over Olivet Nazarene
The bottom of the lineup came through again, lifting St. Ambrose to a 4-0 win over conference rival Olivet Nazarene Saturday afternoon.
The Bees picked up three straight-set wins at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles. Each winner dropped just two games.
Kaylee Camp earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4, while Kelsey Jaeger and Lily Malas won by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores at No. 5 and 6, respectively.
The three singles wins and earning the doubles point gave St. Ambrose the 4-0 win. Meg Chadick at No. 1, Kiersten Housenga at No. 2 and Megan Schueneman at No. 3 did not need to finish their matches.
Schueneman and Camp won their match at No. 2 doubles by a 6-3 score. Jaeger and Saryn Seeley picked up a 6-2 win at No. 3. The No. 1 team of Chadick and Housenga were leading their match 5-3 before the Bees clinched the doubles point.
St. Ambrose, now 6-7 overall and 3-3 in the CCAC, will close the regular season at Roosevelt Sunday.
