[Women's Tennis] No. 12 Hawks Tested, Survive with 4-2 Win over Westmont

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – In the first seven games, the SDCC women's tennis team only dropped one point. The Warriors of Westmont grabbed two points from the No. 12 Hawks but SDCC still came out on top with a 4-2 victory.

After the Warriors took the doubles point, Angelika Sidorov won the first singles point winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6. The Warriors grabbed a point at No. 5 Singles to take a 2-1 lead but the Hawks completed the comeback.

Valentina Sottile won her match 6-1, 6-2 before Barbara Damiani won her match in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 to give SDCC the 3-2 lead. Tomi Felix clinched the match with a 6-1, 5-7, 7-5 win.

The Hawks improved to 8-0 overall and in conference. SDCC will host Saint Katherine on Friday.
