[Women's Tennis] Bees fall in CCAC matchup with Saints

St. Ambrose managed just one point in a 4-1 loss to St. Francis (Ill.) Saturday.

The score is a bit deceptive as the Bees won one of the three doubles matches, won one of the four completed singles matches, and had a lead in another singles match.

Kelsey Jaeger and Gillian Sondgeroth combined for the doubles victory. The duo won the No. 3 match 6-3. Megan Schueneman and Kaylee Camp fell 6-4 at No. 2 doubles, while the No. 1 team of Meg Chadick and Kiersten Housenga lost 6-2.

Lily Malas claimed the singles win for SAU. She won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6. Camp held a 7-5, 3-2 lead in her match at No. 4 when the meet was stopped after USF (1-4, 1-1 CCAC) clinched the win. 

Chadick lost 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and Saryn Seeley dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision at No. 5. 

The Bees, now 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the CCAC, will visit Indiana South Bend next Saturday.
