[Tennis] Women's Tennis Falcons Take Down Bethel 5-2; Men' Tennis Tripped Up

North Newton, Kan. – The Friends University Women's Tennis Falcons defeated the Bethel College Threshers 5-2, while the Men's Tennis squad fell 7-0 at Bethel in action this past weekend at the Coleman Tennis Complex at Wichita State University.

"It was only the Women's second match so they had to get over a few nerves," said Friends women's tennis interim head coach Alex Lee.  "But they came through with a win. Outstanding play from Bella Smith, Sydney McGrown and Freshman Jazzy Williams."

"The Men faced one of the strongest teams in the conference," said Lee, Falcon men's tennis head coach.  "We need to keep working on our strengths and strategies to overcome stronger teams."

The Falcons will next be in action at Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Thursday (Mar. 25) in Bartlesville, Okla.  The men will play at 11 am followed by the women at 3 pm.
