[Tennis] Tennis Sweeps Evangel in Missouri

Doane Tennis traveled to Springfield, Missouri, to take on Evangel in a men's and women's doubleheader. The Tiger men blanked the Crusaders, 7-0, with the women taking a 4-3 victory.

The men's match went fairly quickly as the Tigers won 72 of the 83 games played in singles action, sweeping each match in two sets. Doubles play was a little bit closer as Doane won 18 of 25 games in taking all three doubles matches.

The women's match was a tightly contested battle as the Crusaders jumped out early with the one point from doubles by taking two of the three matches. Doane came back and won four singles matches to pick up the victory.
