[Men's Tennis] No. 13 Men's Tennis Blanks OUAZ

SURPRISE, Ariz. – After a rough two days in Georgia, the No. 13 men's tennis team went back to their winning ways against OUAZ.

The Hawks won 5-0 against the Spirit for their fourth win of the season improving to 4-2 and are a clean 4-0 in conference play.

SDCC earned their point in doubles. Chris Papa and Ivan Smith won at No. 1 Doubles 6-3 before Nick Nienhaus and David Samardzija won at No. 2 Doubles 6-4 to claim the doubles point and led 1-0 heading into singles.

In singles, Papa won in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Nienhaus won by that same score for the third point of the match. Paul Niederle clinched the win with a 6-4, 6-3 singles win in the No. 6 position. Samardzija defeated his singles opponent 6-0, 7-5 and the rest of the singles matches went unfinished.

SDCC will take on Arizona Christian on Saturday.
