[Women's Tennis] Hawks Top USK 4-1

VISTA, Calif. – The No. 12 SDCC women's tennis team battled but were later victorious in a GSAC match against Saint Katherine, 4-1 Friday.

Starting with doubles first, the Hawks were able to grab the doubles point as No. 2 Barbara Damiani and Tomi Felix won their doubles match 6-2. The Hawks went into an extra point as Franziska Niederle and Tatiana Harvey won 7-5.

In Singles, Valentina Sottile won her singles match 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Felix also went three sets at No. 4 Singles. She won 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Harvey finished the singles the quickest for the Hawks, winning her No. 6 Singles match 7-6, 6-1.

The Hawks will host HIU on March 6 as they continue to GSAC play.

USK is an associate member of the GSAC in men's and women's tennis for 2021.
