Andy Murray won the Western & Southern Open title after World No. 1 Novak Djokovic retired at 6-4, 3-0, and Maria Sharapova won the women’s title after she outlasted Jelena Jankovic in a marathon three hour, three set match. The win takes Sharapova up to No. 5. Andy Roddick dropped out of the top 20 for the first time since 2001, and several young guns climbed to new career highs within the top 100. Meanwhile, Canada’s No. 1, Milos Raonic, will not play in the US Open, and the Williams sisters appear in Hamptons Magazine.
